The Dogtrac Scanner is a sophisticated device designed for seamless identification of all Dogtrac dog ID tags, featuring advanced QR code scanning capabilities.

Utilizing the scanner is straightforward: simply open the Scan application, align the QR code within the viewfinder, and the system automatically captures the code without the need for manual input. Once scanned, this action promptly opens your mobile browser and directs you to the dog's online profile.

The profile may include essential information such as owner contact details, with quick access options to call or email them. Additional data available includes veterinary and insurance information, personality profile, microchip, and passport details.

During scanning, you might be prompted to enable geolocation services. This feature assists in automatically informing the owner of the dog's location when found.

Within the Scanner app, there is a feature labeled ‘Lost My Dog’, which enables Dogtrac ID tag owners to alert the local 'Dog Watch' community about their lost pet.

The Dogtrac ‘Dog Watch’ community is a free service that notifies members via email and SMS if a dog is reported lost nearby. It provides owner contact details, a profile of the dog, and a map indicating the last known sighting location.
